When my case was assigned to an officer? I got two answers
from IIO.
On 6/6/01, an IIO told me my case was assigned to an officer
"today" and on 7/11/01 another IIO told me again that my case
was assigned to an officer "today".
I could only guess they poll...

Actually I don\'t know what the lawyer wrote. I\'ve never seen it.
But I guess a simple statement is enough. INS will see the statement
no matter how short it is.

The I-140 needs to be signed by the company. I remember
the lawyer attached a letter to the application saying
it\'s an amendment. You need a couple of immigration photos.
ND 2/8/00 No RFE Company Acquisition filed I-140 amendment on 3/20/01 and
linked with I-485.
I-140 amendment approved today according to AVM. The I-485 still the

on 6/6/2001 and an officer told me my case was...

On 6/6/2001, the IIO told me my case was "assigned to an
officer" on that very day and a week later another IIO said
it was "assigned to an officer".
So I assume "under review"...

I have the feeling INS publishes their "processing date"
as late as possible so that people won\'t blame them backlogged,
but blame themselves\' bad luck instead.
The truth is INS pick up a few cases in the later date to
process while lots of others left behind.

I agree that "under review" is different from "assigned to
an officer". My case has been "under review" for over one
month and just the day before yesterday it is "assigned to
an officer"!

Just a guess. Pending/review might mean the case is in a
place waiting for an officer to pick it up. Any different
opinion on this, welcome to share...

Just called IIO. A nice guy told me my case is assigned
to an officer today.
BTW, my case has been "pending/under review" for over
1 months since the beginning of May when I first talked
with an IIO.
So the "assigned to...
