That means nothing. It simply means you file is collecting dust. Since your date will become current next month then it will go to an officer who will then take 30-45 days to decide the case. So you got a long wait ahead of you.

I am in the same boat with a PD of 11/12/98 and EB3 category. My file went to an officer on May 25. As per my conversation with an IIO it is collecting dust right now. Hopefully the officer will get to it before the mice do.

If you are in the danger of losing your job get the EAD else stay on H-1. You can always take the EAD whenever you want from a local INS office. It only takes a couple of hours and $100.
But once you take EAD H-1 is invalid. If you wanted to come back on H-1 you would have to go...
My PD is Nov 12, 1998. I sent in a response to my RFE which was received by INS on May 15th. I am on the 0 days processing time list at this moment. The IIO told me my case was "approvable" but that I was on a "Visa Hold" since my PD was not current yet.

Don\'t give them more than they have asked for. If they have asked for your current employer\'s letter then give them only that even if it may be different from your sponsoring employer.
