You can put in service request either by calling USCIS or during the infopass with your local office. They have to tell you what is going on with your case, you should get the response within 45 days (possibly sooner)
I had sent copies of my expired passport for my I-130/I-485 applications, and renewed my passport in the meantime, I had a valid passport for my AOS interview, never had a problem with it. I'm not sure if I was lucky, or it is ok to send copies of expired passport...
hi guys, I received my GC today in the mail, finally! The delay was caused by my post office, they kept the mail that wasn't delivered when the was a construction in our biulding and they finally decided to deliver it after my phone call on Monday!
I'm so happy and relived!
I have received everything (all the mail) so far but my GC, I am so nervous because I need to travel in 3 weeks... It has been almost 3 weeks since the approval. The card was sent on Nov 18.
I sill haven't recieved my GC. It has been 10 days since the email "card sent". 10 days in the mail that's such a long time. Do you think it's lost? I am really worried.
thanks bimori...
guys, I have a question - how long did it take for you to get your GC in mail after approval? It has been a week since I received an email that my card was sent and 2 weeks since my approval and I still haven't gotten my card. I received welcome to USA letter 9 days ago...
Hi guys! I had my interview on Monday, it went very smooth and I was told that the IO recommended approval, today online status changed and it says that they ordered production of my card on Monday! I'm so happy! Tonight I bought ticket for myself and my hubby to go visit my homecountry for the...
Kirkland, thank you! I spoke to a lawyer 2 days ago and got absolutely stressed out about my interview, since I might have made a mistake on my forms when it comes to my entry date, I wrote about it in a different post... This caused my asthma to come back and I am pretty miserable at the moment...
Thank you Praetorian! My lawyer got me really scared and nervous.
What about me putting wrong entry date on AOS (my first entry on my visa, not the one back from the weekend in Canada)? Will I get in trouble because of that?
Thank you Praetorian! And I'm sorry about that post.
I sent my I-94 to INS when I applied for change of status from J1 to B2 6 years ago, and the only I-94 that I have is the one that I received from them when they had approved my B2 status. This is the one that I used with my AOS. So...
Anyone? What is your advice?
I actually found my eticket from that trip. Could this help?
And if they decide that the entry date that I put on all the forms is wrong, what would be the consequences?
It just sucks, because I never meant to lie or anything, I rememberd that trip 2 or 3...
My question is about the trip to Montréal that I took when I was here on J1 visa (I came to US as an au pair and after a year I changed my status to B2). As my entry date on all the AOS forms I put the date when I came from my country on J1 visa, but I went to Canada for weekend when I was still...
