New passport after filing 485
No Title vsc_long, i was in the same exact situation during my I-485. I simply renewed my passport (I made sure that the consulate gave me back my old passport, since it had the H-1 visa stamps etc.). I did not send any information to the INS. And my I-485 was approved last month.- yipee

VSC 485 Approved (and passport stamped)!!
Folks, here\'s my info: PD: Sep 1998 I-140 approved: Jan 1999 485 RD: May 1999 485 ND: Jun 1999 FP: Jun 2000 485 Approved: Aug 11, 2000 Passport stamped: Aug 23, 2000 EB1 (India), No RFE, 2 EADs and 2 APs Never called any IIO (though my lawyer did a number of times) Read this group...- yipee
