N-400 Done with name change!! N-600 with name change coming up!!

It was confirmed that you can't change name on N-600. My kid's case was delayed a bit because of it, but all worked out after all. You need to change the name after N-600 was done and got the US Certificate through the Court.

    N-400 & Baltimore

In a few months, I will be ready to file N-400 for myself. I have few questions. If you can give me some directions/explanations, that will be appreciated. - For N-400 of mine, I am not sure how difficult it would be to file it by myself, or is it better to hire a lawyer for it. I am...

Green Card holder traveling to Canada

I visited Canada via Niagara Falls by car two years ago and was asked to show my passport along with GC. I am visiting Canada again this Summer and will definitely have my passport on me to make 100% SURE! I figure that passport is very light-weighted to carry around :-)

    LPR CBP secondary inspection

Based on my experience, you can be sent to 2nd Inspection randomly. 3 previous travels were ok, but not at this time. I waited for ~ 20 minutes. officer: "So many moons ago, you got a record" me: "yes, it was a misdemeanor" officer: "what was the outcome?" me: "I paid a fine" officer...

5-year rule, Living out of the States for Job at US Company Branch, & N400 eligibility

What happens if I live out of the States for a couple of years due to my US company's branch in anther country? I got employment-based GC, so I know 5 years are required to file N400. However, if I work at an oversee branch, I can't physically be in the States of course. I thought there...

Got green card, but want to use H1B to re-enter U.S

I have no idea why you want to do this... It is not going to save you taxes. Passport can be renewed anytime, i.g. if you lost it. You have an interesting idea, but I don't see benefits other than possible troublesome outcomes.

    Green Card Renewal previous felony

I can't give you a clear answer, but one thing I know, based on my experience, is 'one year sentence' is the key. If it is less than 'one year sentence', you may be ok, but, if not, the outcome might be serious. Anyway, you may want to hire a lawyer for your case. cheers!
