Depends on where your passport was issued...... My passport was issued by the consulate in Houston - it took me 2 days to get the PCC - seems if the passport was issued here, they do not have to contact officials in India.........

EAD and CP... According to my attorney (I am doing CP), you CANNOT get an EAD if you are going the CP route - that is one of the disadvantages of CP compared to AOS......
