I called to talk to IO about status of the case. She said, NC has cleared. Not sure if its true or not. We filed early june 06 and she said NC cleared around oct 07.

Thanks for the response. How does just filing the I-140 work ? Will I be able to keep my date if I switch my job ? Will I be able to use my current date to process the already filed 485 ? What about AC-21. Will that be possible in this scenario ? Lots of confusion. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the brief story. 1. Wife is a physical Therapist. She filed I-140/I-485 under schedule A around june 2006. We have A# through this case. Wife's company got bought over and new company has new lawyers and the old lawyer who was handling our case has been sidelined. Lots of politics...
