Hello, A freind of mine went for F1 visa renewal at Kolkata for Phd. Was given 222(g) pink slip. Consulate told him that he should contact them by e-mail in 2 weeks. He sent an e-mail to them, but there is no reply. It is almost getting to be 4 weeks. What should he do?

I have the following question about a close friend of mine. He applied for canadian PR in July 2008. Got AOR in Dec 08. Just recently he checked his status online. The status online said that a " decision has been made". Does this mean that his application has been rejected. Please help.

I was recently naturalized as a US citizen. Is there any urgency to apply for US passport or cancel your Indian passport if you do not have to travel? Do you you have to cancel your Indian passport first or apply for your US passport first?

Seems like your name check will be delayed if USCIS mistakenly send to FBI that you are a male instead of female. On close inspection of the FOIPA, I was listed as a male. That is why my name check took so long.
