I think I paid $140. I would definitely shop around. Ask if there are additional fees (e.g. lab, immunization etc.).

My application was submitted to NSC. A friend of mine submitted his I140/I485 to TSC and got his EAD after about 8 weeks. Sounds like you are going to renew your TN first, which is really not a bad idea. You are almost there!
I did concurrent filing with 5 months left on my TN. I think I got my EAD in about 7 weeks. I was a bit nervous about not renewing my TN, but I did not want to delay my GC application any longer. In the end, I got my GC before my TN was expire.
It will also depend on which employment based category you are qualified for. EB2 is a lot faster than EB3. Regardless, like what nelsona said, people born in mainland China will have a longer wait than most people.
I recently got my GC after being on TN for many years. I started the process last year, and it took me about a year. If your employer is willing to sponsor you, I would start the PERM process as soon as possible. You don't have to worry about timing until you are ready to file I485. For me...
I would prefer not to renew my TN if possible. However, I also don't want to run out of time on my TN while waiting for the EAD.
Do you know if INS would renew a TN via mail with five months left to go?
I am under EB2 so I could file I485 immediately. My concern is whether or not I have enough time to get the EAD before my TN expire. If I file both I140 and I485 by the end of March, I will only have 4 months left on my TN. Would that be enough? What are my options once my TN expires?
Here is my situation. I just got the news that my PERM has been approved. The deadline for filing I140 is mid August. My TN will expire at the end of July. How should I proceed at this point?
Option 1:
Renew my TN via mail next month. Once my TN is renewed, submit I140 and I485...
Thanks for the info. I read through the I-129 application instruction again and it doesn't say you need to submit a copy of your passport. Can anyone confirm if that's the case? I renewed my TN via mail last year as well but I honestly don't remember whether or not I send in a copy of my...
I mailed my TN renewal to Vermont about a week ago. Still haven't gotten the receipt yet. However, I just realized that I had forgotten to send in a copy of my passport. Any advice on how I should proceed? Thanks.
