Like LucyMO mentioned, they way I look at it, in the scheme of things 4 or 5 months isn't so bad. Its just that when you see so many people around you get it really soon, it makes you wonder why you havent gotten yours.
I'll start panicking after 8 months have passed :), but I'm still going to...
Same situation...
Hey Largolargo,
I'm in the same situation and our timelines are very similar. I think there are many others like us. Hopefully something comes through soon! I did have an update on 7/11 (130 approval) and one on 7/14. I made an infopass to inquire about the 7/14 update...
Hey Zozo,
I posted my interview experience here:
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=1722532#post1722532
I was out of status for over a year.
I had my interview recently. I was extremely terrified, because I had overstayed my F1. After researching and reading on this forum, we decided to go without a lawyer. On the day of the interview, I was really questioning my decision, since I saw other couples waiting there with their lawyers...
Hi All,
I just wanted to thank everyone for this amazing resource and make my contribution!
We had our interview at the Tampa DO. I'm the beneficiary. I was really apprehensive and nervous about the interview, my wife was more or less of the attitude that "what can they possibly do/ask us...
Ok, sorry, looks like this has been mentioned several times before. I found this, but if anyone wants to add, you're welcome.
"Yep. You should send a separate check for each application you submit.
Why? This will avoid the necessity of returning ALL applications should just one be found to be...
Hi All,
We filed my application last week, and there is one mistake I made, wrote one check ($765), instead of separate checks. I know thats not recommended here, but I don't know what I was thinking, completely my fault.
My check has cashed and I did verify that the receipt numbers are...
Ok so here is my situation:
I'm the beneficiary (continued working after EAD expiration).
USC sponsor is filing an I-864 and in-laws are joint sponsors (wife is a student).
I'm listing her income as $0, but household income includes my income. Do I need to include my W-2 since its not...
I checked the I-864 documentation again, and it does indicate that the petitioner (my wife) must file an I-864. So again the question is do I include our tax return which was filed jointly for both of us, but no income from her, and my income from unauthorized work??
Please anyone??
Thanks for the reply.
So even though my wife is the petitioner, she does not have to file an affadavit of support?
Would my in-laws, just be the sponsor then? I thought the petitioner had to to file an I-864?
Can I use our tax returns for bonafide mariage documentation?? or I shouldnt...
Hi All,
I searched a lot, but did not find an answer to my specific question.
Here is my situation. My wife (USC) and I have filed taxes jointly for the past 3 years. I know that my income cannot be used for sponsoring purposes since I wasn't authorized to work.
The only income on the...
Hi All,
Sorry if this has been covered, I did not come up with any thing on the search.
I've been out out status for about a year - my F1 expired in 2005, and I worked on opt for a year.
1) I'm getting ready to file for AOS through my wife. On the I-485, it asks: "current USCIS status" ...
