How long can a TN holder and his family (TD holder) stay in the US after resigning a job, before returning to Canada. TN does not expire until next year. Are they considered out of status after the 2 week notice peiod is over. Do we need to file a form with the USCIS? Thanks.

My wife had to leave for Canada a week ago before receiving the i-539 extension approval. Now the extension has arrived in our US address. Does she need to apply for a new visa at the Toronto consulate since her old one expired, or is this extension enough when she returns? Thank you!

Your wife can submit the Canadian citizenship application even without meeting the residency requirement. Refer to their website for details. Thanks

Hi all, My wife has a TD extension pending (I-485), but has been called by Citizenship Canada to write her citizenship exam? Can she go for exam and then apply at the US Consulate in Ottowa, or come back here? Please note that her last visa has now expired at least two months ago. Please...

Do you know if the Nebraska service center has a hand delivery address ...the address on the I-539 form is a P.O.Box#...I wanted to send the form via Fedex to make it on time (before the current TD expires)? Thank you!

I mean since we don't have 45 days left before sending the application to the Nebraska center...Otherwise they require you to proof why you are late.

Thanks Bigboy00! Yes...I assumed that I-129 is filed with the I-539 if both me and my wife wanted to renew via mail...I guess I can also add a doctor's note to the application...

I am going to Toronto for work also...by filing I-129, this means you cann't leave the country while your application is under review. Isn't that correct? My question is, can I file her TD(I-539) without an I-129? Thanks.
