Huh? So let me get this straight....If I have a visa that is expiring in March, and I have a new H1 valid till 2010, I can go to Canada and come back in using my new H1? Lets assume Im going nowhere near a consulate. K

Oh OK...thanks I knew that part. My current H1b doesnt expire till March 07 and the extension is being filed for right now. I was concerned about after the H1b gets extended(for 3 yrs this time), is there any travel restriction or there is no change in that aspect once your I-140 is approved?

I just got my I-140 approval. My H1 is on the 8th year and the lawyer will be filing for a 3 yr extension. I have to wait a while before my prioirity date becomes available. What, if any, is the restriction on travel? Or does that only apply when the I-485 is filed? K
