Let's gather the possible reasons for denying I485 application?
8. Applicant is out of country at the moment of filing Hmmm....I provided all the documents to my lawyer to file for 485 but then had to leave the country for urgent personal reasons. How does the USCIS know that I left the country since my I-94 was also misplaced- ssa38

We filed for I-485 a few days ago and yet to receive receipt notice. Now due to urgent family situation my wife (who has an H4 until June 2007) needs to travel outside the country at a short notice. My lawyer told me that its safe to travel once receipt notice is received. However that may take...- ssa38
