What a relief! finally hear the words. Just checked AVM. Case Approved for both mine and wife\'s today. Case assigned on March 22th according to laywer who called VSC this Monday.

My lawyer called IIO yesterday and was told that my case (July 13 RD) was assigned to a duty officier one month ago and due to thje new background checkup requirement, another 30-60 days are needed before a decision is made.

They simply throw away all the old docs I gave them without even looking at any of them. They did ask for my EAD card and then drop it into the garbage can.
Heard case approval from AVM on April 26 and received the notice on May 2 and got passport stamped this morning in INS Boston office in JFK, coming around 7:30am and got out at 9:30am.

Guys, we got our cards in mail today. They are really green. This ends our two and half years journey.
Milestones along the way:
Dec. 1999: started labor certificate app;
June 2000: labor rejected;
Nov. 2000: appealed labor approved;
July 2001:I140 approved;
April 26, 2002: I485 approved...
