    Hi co1hz, I think your should be fine, since you are back in the US. It does not matter who you work for now. I'm still working in China (US as the home country, China as the host country). It may become very tricky if I don't get the name check cleared very soon.

    So I have zero hope if I spend lots of time outside the US... My interview was September 2005, and that's when I got to know that I'm stuck with name check. Waited over a year, not knowing this forum and didn't think about doing much, because I always thought that nothing works with US...

    Your situation is almost identical to mine. I took the assignment in end of 2004, filed N-400 in Apr 2005, did interview in Sep 2005, and I'm stuck by the FBI name check. Still waiting. I think you should try it. You might actually get it all done within 6 months. I've heard lucky stories like...
