    How much time before I get receipt number?

    I have actually travelled two time out of the country after my I-485 was filed and before my rcpt was available. I had a valid H1-B and I did not have any problems. I had spoken to my lawyers and they said I should not have any problems - and I didnt:)

    485 Application mailed on Friday June 29th!!

    Mailed June 30th Since my PD was current, my lawyers fedexed I140/485 on June 30th. Lawyers said they dont know what will exactly happen but most likely the application will be returned, since it reached on July 2nd 2007 :(
