Adjustment Denial Apparently, there is no grace period for filing for adjustment. In my case I applied on the 10th day after my lay-off to adjust from H1 to H4. The actual reason given is that I applied for adjustment after the status (h1) expired.

Is the company holding the H1B responsible for reimbursing travel expenses incurred to the homeland? Is there a statute of limitations for this? I was laid off in August and a petition to adjust status was denied. Is the company still legally entitled to reimburse me?
