Los Angeles, CA - N-400 Timeline

FYI. The namecheck process is independent of your fingerprinting process, so even if you are allowed to do the fingerprinting ahead of your scheduled appointment, you will still have to wait for the namecheck to clear, typically it iis the namecheck that takes longer. So, relax, there is not a...

    Expedited Passport

My advice is to make a copy of your natz. certificate before you apply for passport, you will need to send the original cert. with the passport application. If you cannot make a copy at/near the oath ceremony, do not apply there, apply at USPS after you make a copy, it is legal to make copies...

    URGENT!! Help on Visa application

Mario, Check out the following link from the SF embassy, http://www.cgisf.org/visa/visa_services.html , it has some information, hopefully it is the same for Houston. From the information provieded, SF does not accept personal checks, only cash, money orders/Cashiers checks, the photos needs...

Traffic tickets and naturalization (threads merged)

Taking traffic school does not change how you answer the citation questions on N-400, you still got the citation and you are accepting guilty conviction based on you paying the fine and taking the traffic school, the only thing traffic school does is to keep the ticket off your record. I did...

Traffic tickets and naturalization (threads merged)

Congrats!! Congratulations, another twist to the traffic ticket issue, I saw one or two cases in the forum where they changed the answer from yes to no, and now the no to yes case, USCIS itself being inconsistent also contributes to this "to mention of not to mention" discussion. We can soon...

Traffic citation after interview and before oath??

It is not clear from your post, if you paid the fine and closed the ticket, I think you cannot have any pending tickets at the time of oath, if you did not pay the ticket, you may want to pay it ASAP and take the pertinent documentation to the oath ceremony

    PIO vs. OCI

What is best for you depends on your travel plans and the embassy where you apply for OCI, the new york embassy seem to finish the whole process in a month but Chicago is taking 4-6 months to process the OCI. The PIO seems to take about a month (atleast from SF embassy) but there seems to be no...

no more than 3 months before meeting the PR requirement?

You can apply 90 days before the 3 year or 5 year eligibility requirements, it is not 2 years 9 months since that may not satisfy the 3 years - 90 days requirement. You are eligible now since you have been married to an U.S citizen for 3 years and you can send in your application anytime now...

Forgot to mention address on N-400 application and it's implication?

I think you are worrying too much You should be ok and I think you are worrying unnecessarily, I do not think the 15 days stay matters, if you are still worried, you have two options: Do not worry and just prepare to mention it if the topic of addresses comes up during the interview OR You...

Use Only Internet Explorer for OCI Applications FYI. For completing Part A of the application for OCI or if you want reprint Part A of the application use Internet Explorer, when I tried to use Mozilla Firefox, it does not work and the form state/data seems to get discarded between page hops.

    RE: Notarized or not?

The san francisco consulate instructions just ask you to self-attest to the copies, write "true copy of original" and sign them, I am not sure if Washington D.C is the same or not.
