try to appeal your denial. Hire a lawyer and do everything possible to avoid removal proceedings. Once your case is in immigration court, your green card process can take years even you if you have grounds for administrative releif.

i don't think so, because when you are in removal proceedings - only judge has a right to approve your case and after that you become a resident:-) my stokes in 2 weeks:-( getting ready.

yes. i withheld my application I-485 and filed for divorce after 3.5 years of marriage. Then got deportation letter. Then married again to USC while in removal proceedings. :rolleyes:

I was always in status before we applied for AOS. came on J-1 no 2YRR, then switched to B-2, then got H1b, never been out of status, just when my I-485 was denied for no show for the interview. Sent one more time right after denial.
