Thanks for this. Does it help that I am still technically still employed by my old employer as I am under the severance period and receiving a pay check from them. do i still need a letter of employment?

I am in a similar situation: got laid off and am under the severance period which expires in June. Have received my I140, EAD and Advanced Parole. I am current (PD: Feb 23, 2003). I am of Indian origin and am under EB2.
Would appreciate if anyone can tell me 1) how soon should I expect to...
srini88,
you mentioned in one of your posts that you were going down the route of switching employers and trying to maintain your old PD.
i wish you all the best but wanted to know if your old employer agreed to keep your GC process going. if yes, what did you tell them? and if not then...
Thanks for the quick reply srini88..
what i meant to ask in the last question was:
Can the PD be transferred to the new employer and does the OLD employer need to keep the current I-140 open for this to happen?
Again thanks much.
Hi,
I'm in a similar situation and would like to clarify a few things:
1. Can I transfer to a new employer if I have received my LC and I-140 but have not applied for the I-485?
2. Can the transfer happen on a H1-B that is in its 8th year? (my H1-B has recently been renewed for one year)?

the systems were down but she said case numbers starting with "P" mean that the 45 day letter has been received and those applications are "in process". she said that even if the system was up and running, this would be the level of detail I would have gotten i.e. that the application...

I just spoke to a woman at the PBEC and she told me that they were just starting to look at cases with PDs in 2003. She said that the order was "kind of sort of" random, so its not sequestial by month. they seem to be picking 2003 cases out a hat.
would like to hear other's experiences in...
Hi,
So I was able to get my PBEC case number. Does anyone know what is the best way to try and check the status of my application?
Thanks!

EB2/ RIR
PD: 02/23/2003
RD: did not make it
45 day letter received and replied to in Nov. 2005
BEC case number: P-05186-96xxx
i've also been a silent reader so far.
have been seeing lots of remarks about people with 2002 PDs. Does anyone have any indication on timing from PBEC for people (like me) who have 2003 PDs?
My details:
SWA: NY
RIR/EB2
PD: 2/23/2003
RD: did not make it
45-day letter: not received...
Looks like my case was transferred from SWA. the lawyers received a letter to that effect on Nov. 9, 2005. How does this impact the timing if at all.
thanks again for your help.
