I do believe it's realistic to expect the dates to move to Jan 2002 before Oct.2006. I think they "reserved" a bit too large number for 245 cases, or the buerocracy and processing speed of 245 has been much lower than planned. In any case, there is probably a large number of unused visas that...

I think the world/china/phil EB-3 2-month jump could be explained by the fact that the end of this financial year is approaching, and a large number of visa numbers still have not been allocated, probably in expectation of a large number of 245i cases. The 245i cases influx has been much lower...

Well, looking at May visa bulletin, it seems you can go ahead and fire your lawyer :) But on a serious note, can you ask your lawyer to ask that "insider" why dates haven't moved and what to expect in the future. But, anyway, whoever that insider is he clearly lost any credibility :) Sad...
