update FYI I called to USCIS and asked about missing approval notice - was told that I don't need it after I got green card, but if I need it for archive I need to fill in some form (damn, forgot form number) and send to them.

I have similar situation. My lawyer told that I don't need the approval letter in future (for ex. for citizenship application, ect..) Please share your thoughts if you think we need request this letter.

I have the same situation. Asked my lawyer and was told that I don't need appoval notice (for ex. when applying for Citizenship only card is requiered) Don't know if it's normal or not, let me know if you think that approval notice is good for something.
