some DO don't stamp the passport anymore except if you really need it because you plan to travel pretty soon. This is your case, so if the officer tells you that you are approved and seems not to stamp your passport, ask if he/she can stamp it because you need to travel ;)

My stamp is valid for 1 year but the officer said once I receive my GC I don't need the stamp anymore. Probably the fact that they send the GC very quickly now, so they don't need to put a 1 year limit for the stamp :) By the way I received my card in a few days, so even with a 30 days stamp...

I received my GC around 7 business days after my interview :)
