I started using the forums only for a year now. Try to understand, GC processing trend is not a science, each and every case is unique. So we have to think logical and try to do our best in the situation we are in.

Letter to Senator
My letter to the senator was the standard format from this forum and I included my case details. I wrote to my Senator in Jan 2007 and called them many times to follow up.

I did not contact FBI directly, I contacted my senator in Virginia. They were very helpful but they we also busy. So I had to contact them many times and faxed my letter multiple times. They must have sent sent a inquiry to TSC and FBI.
I finally got it
My 485 and my wife's , both got approved this morning. I was expecting this any day, as I recieved a letter from FBI last week that my name check was cleared. I am very happy today, been in this country for 10 years graduated from Top school etc. Most of my friends got it like...
Approvals
I checked few case numbers which were filled on the same day as mine. One of them got approved today. I think TSC processes quickly if the security checks are done. Lets all hope FBI speeds up the background checks.

TSC told me that my security checks are still pending, I am assuming its name check. She refused to mention when the name check was initiated. Looks like I am also stuck with this name check process.

unable to login
I am not able to login to uscis website, I get a java error. I was able to check status by keying in the reciept number.
