If you filed 140 and 485 then that would be treated as one packet. If you did not file them together, I-485 will be treated as a separate application. I had a friend whose 485 was approved even before 140 was approved. 485 can be apporved if 140 is approvable.

You can file 485 the day your PD is current, provided an I-140 is filed or is being concurrently filed.

Your 140 and 485 will be picked up when your PD (priority date) is reached. PD is a date when submitted your application for labor cert.

Concurrent I see many people with LC PD in 2002 and have filed I-140 (EB2) sometime this year. My question is why are they not using the concurrent filing benefit since the EB2 cut off date for India is Jan 03? Is marriage a reason or something else?
