Hi, My I 140 got appoved last week. My lawyer said that I have to wait until my Priority Date is current. My Approval notice is showing a PD of Jan 2006. Anydody know how long it will take for this PD (Jan 2006) to be current. Thanks in advance!!!

If you are filing as a EB2 try to see if you can file I-140 and I-485 together if you are not from India, China, Pakistan. See the thread called "H1B 5th year, enough time to start GC? " by user billycert for a better explanation by user newbies. I hope this help!!!

How do you know that you can file for I-140 and 485 together. Is it automatic if you are not from India. Or is there another requirement. The reason I ask is that I am not from India but I am already on my 5th year and I didn't apply for the PERM yet (just finish job posting). Maybe less...
