Proof of residence, change of residence...

J1 to F1! How?
Hi! I'm an au-pair with J1 visas and since it's not going very well with my current family I'm thinking about changing the status to F1 visa. Can anyone tell me where to start? What kind of documents will I need? and so on!? I'm pretty confused about the whole thing. Thanx a lot.- Ilyse
