Received a notice in the mail on saturday that my case has been approved.. It is not on any notice of action but a letter on a plain white paper. I am confused, if that is a genuine approval notice.

yes I also receviced the duplicate copy of receipt notice. I got my passport stamp last month, but since then I am getting pulled for Secondary area of immigration every week as I travel internationally every week. There i end up sitting for 2 or more hours for a 2 min verification in the system.

Go to Indian Consulate and get one . I did the same. they charge $20 at the embassy or consulate. Immigration officer didnt had any problem with that.

I 94 I had was from my H1 b, which Was stamped before my application started, I started working on EAD since Feb 06, So I dontknow if It was an expired one or not.

to Bran It is not very far from the rencen may be 2 miles. It is better to go in the noon timearound 1 or 2. they open on saturdays but i guess it would be crowded. try that It worked for me and the ptr now. So may be for u. Good Luck

To Buldag If you are from India, send your passport along with application and $20 to get a Birth Certificate from Indian Consulate where you live. I also did the same. Good Luck

I am in the same boat. It's my view that as long as USC is born abroad and is a Naturalized citizen you probably need Naturalization certificate. Rest Good luck to you and try posting your experience here after interview.

You should take any ID which is NOT expired. A visa or a drivers licence or any state issue photo ID. I remember going to DMV with expired ID and they refused to accept that. I would just suggest you to take one which is still valid.

My Notice of Action says 'Initial Interview'. Does that means they will call us again for the next round with some more proofs or we have to wait for 2 years for second interview ?
