J1 to H1B while I-485 is pending
Can I swith from J1 to H1B while my I-485 (EB-1) is pending? My J1 expires in about 1 year; I'm not subject to 2 years rule. Should I just apply for EAD instead? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.- masha

J-1 to H1-B while I-485 pending
I filed I-140 in July 2003 while on J-1 visa as Outstanding Researcher (EB-1); hope it will be approved soon and I can file I-485. My J-1 visa expires in 1 year and it looks like I'm not a subject to 2 years rule. Can I make a transition from J-1 to H-1B while my I-485 is pending?- masha
