    Leaving the US before obtaining the GC

    I recently entered the US with an immigrant visa, and I have not received my GC yet. However, because of some urgent cases I have to leave the US before obtaining my green card. Can anyone tell me if I can leave the US or not? If yes, how can I re-enter to the US? Regards, John
