I posted in another thread that my employer is currently holding on to my I94 that I need for transferring to another company.
Now, from what I understand, legally the document belongs to me. So, him asking for money for a document that already belongs to me is blatant...
I'm on a valid H1B. Problem is that my employer has kept my papers and I can't transfer now. He's asking for a lot of money to give me the documents. Is there any way I can request the docs straight from USCIS?
I know what he's doing is highly illegal.. who should I contact if I want to...
