    Passport validity needed for getting I-485 stamped

    What is the minimum validity period we should have on our passports to get the I-485 stamed after approval? Generally the officer stamps the passport for 1 year. If the validity of the passpoprt is less than 1 year then does the local office stamp the passport or not? Thanks Swingline
