I heard the same thing. I was very skeptical. So I called 3 times after that and I got consistent answer from different folks each time. I did my first finger print in July 06. Its been more than 15 months and the officers told me that I dont need another one.

Folks, Called NSC and talked to an IO. She said my security check is still pending and they cannot take action on my case until it is cleared. Lost all my hopes that I had a few months back when I got the RFE... Dont know how long I have to wait for the secrity check to clear :mad:

Dont count on it. Nowadays RFEs have no significance. I got an RFE last year in December after 5 months of I485 filing. This was immediately after my I140 was approved. The RFE was about medical form. After I responsed to the RFE there was only one LUD to indicate the receipt of the response. I...

I believe they typically say 45 days. But normally, you would get a response within 2 weeks. Good luck !!!

Sounds like your 485 processing is complete. You will have to wait till your priority date becomes current, which is when visa number will become available for your case. Once it does, its matter of some IO picking up your case and mark approval stamp on it. Good news is that you are out of...
