In my case, filing for both EAD and AP hasn't helped speed up 140 approval. We filed concurrently under EB2 on Jan 4, 2008, got all receipts back, then both EAD and AP shortly after. We did fingerprinting and all that, but still no word about 140. It's been 4 months. According to the website TSC...
