AC 21 portability applies only for people wainting for GC. After you got the GC, it doesnot apply(some believe it does). Of course you can chnage your job and even your career, however, if you left the employer who sponsored your GC too fast (say next day), they can suspect your GC is fraud...

I guess the pilot program is kicking in. Too sad new comers are approved before us. Are they doing it for everyone or just some lucky folks. Rajiv shall use this as evidence of unfairness in the court.

NSC indeed ask you do FP after few months of filing (3 months my case). But it doesn't mean anything, untill you do the second one.

The only trouble if any, it's when you apply for citizenship. You have to prove there is no intention of fraud, as you changed job one day after GC approval. The safe time I heard is 1 month to a year, depending who you are asking. The truth is nobody knows. Best way is to ask your company lay...

Totally agree. But my lawyer says best staying a year after GC. Murthy said 6 months is minimum at her forum. But it may change. This is a loop whole not covered by ac21.

My guess is, Rajiv will ask court to deny USCIS's right to request deposition from plaintiffs.

Re: At least... No. It does not solve the problem guys. As long as it is not moving faster than calendar year, the backlog get worse. There is no "better" worse. There is better way to vent your rage though. Join the fight, become a plaintiff. we need crazy people :)
