Interview done (St Paul DO - Bloomington office)
All,
I had my N400 interview today at the Bloomington office. It went very well. The interview experience is posted here:

Any further news on the movements in your individual cases...
Thanks Haasan.
Nope, I had not mentioned it on my N400 (since the language in the instructions is confusing). Anycase, they do want you to mention ANY tickets and simply make an annotation on your N400 at the time of the interview. If the fines are less than $500 and no drugs or DUI is...
St. Paul (MN) DO Interview Done!
:)
All,
After a nearly two year long wait I finally had my N400 Interview today (Nov 18 at 8AM). It went very well and lasted ~20 minutes.
I was ushered into the IO's chamber at 8:00AM. A very pleasant lady officer went over all the items in the...
Hi replicate,
I remember ya! We exchanged some notes on this forum earlier this year. I have the same exact PD (12/4/06). My NC was initiated 12/13/06 and First FP on 1/24/07. After that everything went silent until 9/26 when I received the second FP and then 2 weeks later, the IL. My ID is...
Good news indeed but seems like an awfully long time between ID and OD. I have my ID on 11/18. I dread having to wait this long afterwards. I would have thought they will try and catch up with the oath backlog but looks like not.

Hopefully there will be more in Dec and Jan. Else we might all be looking well into Feb or Mar.
I only hope none are scheduled during the holiday time (Thxgiving and Xmas) as I plan to take short vacations.
It is sad that OLs have been stuck in the St Paul DO for this long. My ID is coming up on 11/18 and I wonder how long it will be after that before I receive my OL. Can't wait for that day.
By the way when is the next regularly scheduled OD in MN? I heard through my attorney that sometimes...
I waited for 23 months for my interview. But I was stuck in the Name Check process. So if you are like the majority of people that sail through the Name Check pipeline then it should be a lot quicker. If you get stuck in the Name Check process (part of the Background Check USCIS conducts) then...
I checked with my attorney too and she confirmed you need to get only ONE waiver for any ONE program, regardless of the number of J-1 stamps you got to enter the program.
AP
That's right - as long as the re-entry was for the same program (teaching a course at the university) then only one waiver is required.
If you first entered as a J-1 student and then the following year as a J-1 scholar then those are two different programs.
Pavan
I don't think this is correct.
As long as there is no break in the J-1 status you can continue to get new J-1 stamps - once you lose J-1 status then the HRR kicks in and you must stay back 2 years. The HRR applies only after the status becomes inactive in SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor...
Really?
Really? So one cannot rely on the invitation for an interview to mean that the dreaded NC is complete? I thought the USCIS was pretty adamant on sending IL only after NCs were completed; the assumption was also that the second FP notice was not sent automatically but only on...
