    Visiting Canada while application is pending

    I have a permanent residence application currently being processed by the UK Embassy (I am being sponsored as a common law spouse by my partner who is in Canada. I am in Ireland). Can I visit Canada while this is pending? Also, how likely is it that I will be called for interview?
