Thanks a lot! Could you do us a favor and post the mailing address/phone/email of the following:
1) Elaine Chao
2) Barbara Shelly - the new PBEC director, after Stefanko was sent to dump.
3) DOL address of Washington, DC.
Good idea :-) but you were trying to use GET protocol. Try using a POST. POST to the form. If you get the code working let me know. I was also thinking of coding something like this.
Yeah... same story my friends who filed after me already have their GC. Why? their case wnet to DBEC and they escaped retrogression. Here I am stuck with labor for 4 years.
I doubt if there is much we can change the situation. We can try writing letters but I think they are just picking...
I don't think we can predict anything. I know a lot of my friends with PD after me have been approved by PBEC. The cases are both EB2 - EB3, exp/no exp. So bottomline ... just keep waiting and hopefully they will approve it one day. And hopefully the 485 date will be current at that time :-)
Its different
You know its very easy to say this kind of stuff when you have waited about a year. When you have already waited 4-5 years (+ few years spent in MS/trying to find a good employer) for LC you can't risk losing your PD by trying to file PERM. If you refile PERM, you can get pushed...
We all understand that its a sacrfice and that's why we are all here. I am glad most of what I listed are non-issues for you. But for a lot of ppl, these are serious issues.
Tell me about it. I know I am qualified enough for a management position. But I can't even apply for a management position in my company because the HR says that will violate the LC process.
That's why I want to find alternate ways to retain my sanity during this process.
puskeygadha,
I know it can be depressing but I don't think that helps us a lot. I think we need to do whatever to
1. Help our career.
2. Help make lives smoother (yeah that's possible :-)
3. If possible start consulting jobs/business on the side.
I am starting a new thread for people who have been waiting for several years for labor certification. This type of wait impacts you in several ways and puts your life/career on hold.
Feel free to discuss problems/solutions resulting from wait:
1. Being stuck in the same job for several...
I definitely would not discourage anyone from approaching senators. But the most response ppl have received from politicans is canned responses that talk about immigtation in general. I am yet to see anyone in this forum who has benefited from approaching senators. This is as far as...
Exactly
Exactly, my point. We have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I am not sure if anything will work. In fact, my fear is if you make too many queries or approach senators/congressmen they will move your case to the bottom of the pile.
BTW, I got status from 202 # today and...
Is there a choice?
I don't think we have a choice. I don't think we should believe the lawyers blindly but at the same time we don't have a choice. I am almost completing 4 years of wait. Who can I complain to? We have tried letter writing and several things on this forum. Nothing seems to...
Has anyone recieved status using the H1B7YR email address recently. I don't know if its worth sending an email there. Frankly, I have tried calling PBEC, the 202 #. Nobody seems to provide any status. Its amazing that after having waited for 4 years they can't even provide me with status. I...
