Based on 2013 's and 2014 VB , I would say on Feb/ March . And no ,you do not need the AOS filled for the DS-260 , but for the interview .

Petitioner is yourself asking for the visa ( not included on the online Ds-260 form anyway) . As per the Dv 2015 instruction , proof of your non-public changeability , of which sponsor is one way , is required to be on the safe side . I plan to have one too .
