Officially we are Lawful Permanent Residents. Stamping took an hour in DC Metro location and have been told we would be getting our greencard in 6 to 12 months or even earlier and until then we can use our passport stamping for benefits of Lawful Permanent Resident.

Received official I-797 s for me and my wife. Stamping is due for 03/04/2005 noon. Good luck for everyone...

Why there is so much difference in processing time frames from service center to service center ? Applicant from VSC gets green card in 6 months though its concurrent filing, where TSC applicant even gets his I-140 after 2 years and do say concurrent application I-140 adjucated with I-485...

AC21 has been under threat for long time. I have been waiting since 18 months (TSC). No approval of I-140 or I-485. Can't change employment and cannot be assured that employer will not file for chapter11. No Peace in Life... since 2002, the time I have applied for GC.

No response for me either from Ombudsman since 6 weeks.

Thats the best idea as the problem is not specific to particular Service Center but USCIS regulation on delaying I-140 until I-485 ready for processing., which violates AC21 law thats passed before Concurrent Filing law.

I-140 delayed until I-485 ready for process nullifies AC21. So, there is no AC21 law exists as many experience like me (600 days no approval for I-140 in TSC concurrent filing). So, No AC21 law thats helping applicants since late 2002, from the time concurrent filing started.
