Thanks a lot Simon. My interview will be in Kuala Lumpur where the embassy requires applicants to submit their documents in the morning and come back for the interview in the afternoon. Does that indicate anything?
How early does the DS-260 need to be submitted for KCC to process for interview scheduling? I submitted mine on 2nd of August and I expect to be current in November (CN AS26**). Does that provide sufficient time for me to be interviewed in November?
Thanks Suzie,
No identity number unfortunately. My wife is not an Egyptian citizen either so, it's pretty hard to get any other documents! It was pretty hard to get the computerized version in the first place!
Hello there,
I'm a DV2015 selectee with CN AS26XX.
My wife (the derivative) has a hand written birth certificate which was used at the time of birth in Egypt. Now there is a computerized version that is being used so, I managed to get her a computerized version. However, two issues arose:

My advise is, go for fingerprint based search! That's what I did because my case is similar to yours. It is not mandatory but fingerprint based search will cover the entire person's history regardless of what names they use on the form!
Gotcha @Sm1smom and thanks for your prompt response :) I see your point and it makes perfect sense. I'll go with your advise and have the W2 included. From what you said I take it that if I get the W2, I don't need other forms such as 1040? Am I getting this right?
Thanks for your help :)
@Sm1smom, @Britsimon , and @SusieQQQ You guys are doing a heck of a job helping everyone out :) God bless you all.
Quick question regarding the affidavit of support. I'm looking at the instructions regarding the supporting documents here...

My interview will be in Kuala Lumpur. The US embassy in Kuala Lumpur does not require an affidavit of support. However, I want to be fully prepared in case they ask for it and don't want to take any risk.
I'm gonna try to have as much proof as possible starting with an...
Thanks heaps @Britsimon and @Sm1smom for your insight.
I think I'd just try to find someone else as I do not want to take any risk.
Another question: I might be able to get a job offer from the embassy of my home country in the US. However, this job offer is for a short term employment (6 months...
Hi @Britsimon
1. Would an affidavit of support for a DV winner from a non-immigrant resident of the US work?
2. If yes, would it be acceptable if it comes from a non-immigrant US resident who works in the US as a diplomat of a foreign mission noting meanwhile that diplomats are exempt from...
