Complete simply means that you have filled up your form and submitted it. It does not indicate whether KCC has processed or even started processing it.

You will have to pay at the embassy on the interview day. So far I have seen at least 3 people reporting paying in USD. But you can check with the embassy if they accept Egyptian pound too. I would advise you just go with USD.

I think the next couple of months would tell whether it was just a backlog or something else. While I agree that the electronic submission may have made it easier for people to apply, I don't however think the difference would be that much in terms of the number of people submitting applications...

As far as I know, your visa remains available till the end of the month. If your AP is not resolved before the end of the month, the visa gets sent back to the pool and is allocated to someone else. You still have a chance to get a new visa allocated to you once your AP is resolved so long as...

TAL is technology alert list. It's a list of certain fields that due to national security sometimes entail extra background checks on applicants seeking US visas. LUDs = Last update date. It's basically the last status update date that shows when you track your visa status on USCIS website.

Thanks for the update. The new batch of 2NLs will be sent out in a few days. It'll give us an indication as to how far they have gone in clearing the backlog. But as far as your own forms are concerned, I believe they have completed processing them given the response you got from KCC.
