Today my status changed to 'RIR in Process' latter in the afternoon. Finally 'some' movement :).

Have any recent certifications gone from 'TR in process' to 'Certified' or are they all 'TR >> RIR >> Certified'? I remember earlier some cases would show as 'Certified' directly from 'TR in Process', without having changed to 'RIR in Process'. I wonder if there have been any recent cases like that?

As a H1 visa applicant you are not required to show proof of ties to your home country. Infact I have been asked twice when having my H1 renewals stamped whether I will be applying for a green card and I have said yes. So this should not be a problem. Good luck with the stamping.

RealSnad, Do a search on Matamoros and Nogales and see what people have to say. Here is a nice detailed post on Matamoros involving a F1 visa renewal. From what I have read, Matamoros seems to have a higher rate of approvals but read up first and then decide for yourself. Good luck. Jawad
