I am very happy for your approval! I applied in November 2012. So far no interview yet. But I can feel it's coming soon since everybody from backlog are getting their interviews. Enjoy your freedom!!!
I have a lawyer, he prepared my case, but if he is good or not I don't know? And I didn't go to interview with him yet. The only thing I can tell you: he always answered my phone calls and emails and I found him after good reviews I read. If you are interested, write me in private and I will...
hello guys. It's been a while I didn't visit the forum. Congratulations to everybody who got approved and good luck for the rest with pending cases.
I applied for asylum in 2012 and didn't get interview yet. I already got my 3rd EAD and just waiting for the interview. I would like to ask in this...
Very rare it happened to me too, but I always call back next day, or later the same day and they answer, just try again, I am sure you will reach them. I also don't listen to all options, I just press 0 ones the voice MSG starts.
Thank you Anthony2013 for sharing with us this information. I am waiting for the interview for more then 15 months. I usually call them to check if my case is still pending, but never send them email.
I agree 100% with Anthony2013. Exact the same experience I had, just one difference: my EAD took 2 months. My advise to you is to make sure to sign your form I 765 with small signiture, otherwise they can request you to resign it and in this case you will lose time. Good luck.
By law they can not reject you only because of the temporary documents!!!! Unless there is another reason. It's against the rules. If you can prove it some how, you can sue them. I understand that you will not do that, but keep it in mind when you will go to the next interview. And fight for...
They count 180 from the date you sign your application. If you signed it on your 149, not your 150 day, they will now approve it. You need to make sure that you pass 150 days before apply.
In your first post you said you are moving in another place but in the same city, this will not stop your clock. I moved also while my clock was pending, just make sure to inform asylum office about your new address. If you want to be more sure, call your asylum office with this question. Good luck.
2012, yes 15 months. I live in LA. It's close and I will be interviewed at the office. The question is just when....??? I called them last week, my case is pending, but no interview date yet. Soon I will have to renew my EAD card.
