The government, probably with the best intention of issuing all the visas, have gone ahead and overscheduled DV2023. There are more people scheduled for interviews in July - September than the quota will (should) allow. So - that means people on 221g and AOS cases will be competing for visas...

The VB released today was the last one for DV2023. There won't be any change now. The CEAC data is showing they are doing very well with issuances, with lots of interviews scheduled for July and August. Not sure why you think they have only got to 60%.

Yes. The speed of the visa bulletin is relative to the amount of actual cases they have (in processed status). So - they decide how many interviews they want to do in a given month, then they will increase the VB by a number that "yields" enough processed cases to fill the available...

Since you are doing AOS, the DS260 submission is optional (though recommended at some point), but does not affect your processing timeline. For CP cases, DS260s are opened (started to be processed, but not necessarily completed) in submission date order.

Just an update on visa numbers for DV2023. The government have done well this year in scheduling, despite several embassies that have done a poor job. This means that even before any interviews are scheduled for September, they are close to the global cap, with just about 3k to 5k visas left...

Oh Sloner, good to hear from you, but I see wisdom is not coming to you with age. The case numbers are higher for each region in DV2024 - that is true, but we do not know the selectee numbers, so it is too soon to assume they are "frying more wings". That might be the case, it might not.
