There are notes from my last disaster that I am not to be given a Sci-Tech TN so I think I'll just stay in Canada awhile and get my 4 year CIS degree finished that way the need for Sci-Tech vaporizes.
Based on my discussions at the University it won't take me much more than 4 terms to get the...
Blaine Truck Crossing;
I never had an uncorrectable problem at this POE in all my visits there. Generally it was formatting of the offer letter that got picked on went back with the changes and was OK.
This time was a whole different ballgame.
In talking with the BCP shift supervisor at the...
Job - 6 weeks 20 resume submissions and followups no job in IT
Settled? Not really WA State EI has not paid a penny on my claim because "there are still questions about my immigration status during your working period".
In Chapter 7 bankruptcy house gone, truck gone.
Next time, if there is...
Nope, I was told NOT to come back for a Sci-Tech TN and they put that in the denial notes in the system.
I know this because when I crossed as B-2 to retrieve my 3 bedroom household the supervisor read the notes to me while his officer was doing the B-2.

Justifun;
At which POE did this happen to you?
This sounds like what happened to me at the Blaine Truck Crossing back on Halloween day except that CBP invalidated my current TN at the same time so I'm now in Canada.
Do what Simsd and Nelson are suggesting, mail it in PRONTO!
6 months is too early I think Immigration won't do it via mail before 3 months or sooner not really certain about border applications but I would think it would be the same timeline.
As for the offer letter, every border application is a NEW TN do not say "renewal" in the letter if you go to a...
According to the documentation they claim to adjudicate within 15 business days. I'm on day 8 now not 1 single word out of them even after the sponsoring consulting company sent them a nicely worded email a week ago Tuesday requesting an update.
From what I can tell you send it into a black...
Are you a Full Time employee of the consulting company?
Did you sign a "consultants contract" when you joined them?
If FT you work directly for the consulting company you can probably omit the client name and location without issue.
If you signed a "consultants contract" then you're stuck...
All depends, what TN category you are under and are the job duties the same for every contract?
Did you have a line such as this in your TN letter:
"XYZ Consulting is employing <ou> for their client, <client name> to work on site at <client name> and at our, XYZ, offices."
If you...
The HR folks do not understand your employment eligibility has not changed at all. Best you can do is scare up the TN section that states you are not out of status while a TN extension is pending.
The Notice of Receipt you or HR will receive from the Service Center saying they've received the TN application.
If that is not acceptable to HR go find the regulations and copy off where it says "applicant may work up to 240 days once extension has been filed". Those aren't the exact verbage...
And I clearly said, if you had read the rest of the response, "When the TN is approved you will get an I-797 your I-94 will be stapled at the very bottom. Make a copy of the I-797 and the I-94 and give them to the employer this is the proof they need that you are legally able to work in the US."
When the TN is approved you will get an I-797 your I-94 will be stapled at the very bottom. Make a copy of the I-797 and the I-94 and give them to the employer this is the proof they need that you are legally able to work in the US.
You cannot work until you get the I-797 that says "We have...
Hi;
Anyone have any insight as to how long it takes USCIS to open and assign a # to an I-129 submitted for premuim processing?
My package was received last Friday morning and the Money Orders have yet to be cashed nor have we had any receipt notification by snail or email yet.
TIA,
Ken
