I want to apply for my citizenship now in 2005. I have been out of the country for 11 months in 2000 and 11 months in 2001. I have been continously living in the US from April 2002 till date. Am I eligible to apply for citizenship or do I still have to wait? I don't understand the 180 days...

Congrats to all who have recieved their green cards in the last 3 weeks. Just got back from vacation from iNDIA after 3 weeks. No questions asked at entry (JFK). Normally simple questions are asked for new green card holders according to forum for entering US for the first time. Anish
