I was never issued an I94.However in my application it is stated that i have been here 6yrs.And that is what i told the officer at the interview. I dont know why my lawyer would allow me to get a travel permit if i was an overstay?It cost me 175$ and it seems like it may have been a waste.

i dont think it matters that much as long as you send them a copy of the detention document. i think they also want an explanation of what the detention was about and if you went to court or if it was dismissed... maybe you should see a real lawyer who can give you staraight advice..cheap...
