EAD application returned
My wife's EAD application was returned by the local office saying that nothing should be written on the back of the check. I had put the Alien # in the area where sometimes we sign when depositing cheques in banks.
I am going to wait till April 14th because I have...
Frankly speaking yo're running 50/50 chances wherein the officer will look into each of your documents. Again, the interview being time-bound they might never even bother to look at it. Go as per your lawyer recommends.
By the way, I had put a start date in my employment letter and the...
I mailed my wife's EAD renewal application to the local office using Certified Mail and return receipt. You never know these local office people might just deny that you ever filed the application.
I am not sure if I will ever be able to see that EAD approved. By the way, you filed it two...
I understand your frustration and so does everyone on this thread because each one of us has been through a hard phase in getting thier green card. You case is quite old and we have seen a lot of approvals for cases that have transferred after September 2003. if you haven't done so in the...
You need to send it to the Washington DC office if yours is an Employment based petition. If not then the Customer Service is right, you need to mail it to the Chicago lockbox.
I am sure that the USCIS would love to encash the cheques first. They are aware that the service they render is not even close to the worth the money they take from us. Thats the reason I wanted to wait for EAD renewal till I could hear something from them. I tried contacting congressional...
I was waiting with the hope that I'll receive the interview letter for my wife. But today I have decided to finally mail the application. I know these stupid folks will encash the cheque and not even bother to see why wasn't my wife scheduled for interview. They don't have a good system in...
Congratulations on receiving the Green Cards. Wasn't that quick. Atleast you didn't have to wait for it like you did for the interview ...just kidding.
Enjoy and have fun.
Its good to know that your wife is also on the same schedule. Else it would have been very difficult to to schedule an interview for your wife. I should have done that when I received my interview letter but now I am stuck.
Looks like you're in the same boat as me. Even my wife didn't get an interview letter yet. I am waiting eagerly so that the GC process can be said to be DONE.
Did you happen to contact Congressmen's office to seek help on your wife's case. I did so and em waiting to get an update.
I will...
Thats good news. When did you receive your interview letter? Was it Feb 23? Did you check your status online and see any changes in the message? Let me know if you saw any changes.
Not yet. Waiting eagerly to see the interview letter from USCIS. In the meantime I am following up with the congressional office to see if it can be expedited.
By the way, Wonderfulboy's wife had an interview scheduled for today. Haven't heard anything yet.
Renewing EAD at local office
Haven't yet heard about my wife's interview. In the meantime, its time to renew her EAD (3 months prior to the expiration date). Does anyone have any experience with renewing EAD with the local office. If yes then I would like to know the following:
1. How much...
