I should mention that we got the approvals only 3 days after we issued an inquiry. So it is most probably a good idea to do so if you are already past TSC published date.
My case and that of my wife just got approved. It has been a looooong process that started in 2000. I am glad its finally over. No thanks to TSC what so ever. I would like to thank everyone on this forum for their support and tips, and hope all of you to get approved soon. Especially the 2002...
Approved!
Guess what guys!
I just got the email notifications that both myself and wife got approved. Looks like this inquiry thing really works (or may be it was just coincident). In either case I recommend those in similar situation to start an inquiry.

vidy,
My lawyor called the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) and the only thing they could do was to submit a status request to the Texas Service Center. The NCSC service rep told them that we should receive a status letter within 30 days from today.
Is this the same as initiating...
It has been about 3 months since i done my FP and no response yet. My ND is 10/2002. I noticed several 2002 approvals today which is wonderful. I also noticed that the FP waitings on all these were 1-2 months. I was wondering how many people are in my boat, and I mean 2002 or early 2003...
Exactly! No problem in the whole world can have negative impact on TSC performance. How could they get any worse than what they are already at? Is that even mathematically possible?
Because of this average approval date metric, TSC does not want to do many 2002 cases. simply these old cases makes the average date older, so better to keep them in starvation mode.
TSC policies
It is true that TSC is busy handling concurrent 2003 cases now. Last months most of TSC approvals for I485 were 2003 applications (about 85%) while only 12% were for the cursed 2002 applications.
I send this information to my lawyor who promised to send a complaint to TSC. I...
Same here, I just received wife's FP appoinment scheduled for the Nov. 26th.
Hope to get mine (primary applicant) soon so we can go together.

kailashr,
Most of those 2002 filers had already waited one or more years for there I-140 in addition to the current I-485 wait. So that should make their cases even higher priority. That is if TSC has any sense!
There is no sense in speeding a concurrent case that started 2003 over (I-140...
Superb,
My complain is not about immigrationwatch.com not showing non-approved cases. The complain is about TSC not working on cases that have been setting on their shelves over 2 years while obviously they have enough employees to approve such large number of much more recent cases.
The bad news is that only 12% of these cases are 2002 cases. While we know there are many 2002 cases (such as mine) without even FP yet.
It looks like TSC can put their act together and finish all these waiting 2002 cases in couple of months, but decided otherwise.
I did some simple analysis for I485 approval data posted recently on immigrationwatch.com for the period 9/13/2004 and 10/04/2004 for TSC. The data sample is 679 approvals which is statistically very significant.
The results were amazing!!! The extreme majority of approvals are 2003 cases and...
Your lawyor is, in many case, not helping to speed up I-485s. I'm 100% convinced that massive complaints from lawyors would have significant effect on TSC to change their unjust policy that favors concurrent 2003 applications on 2002 applicants (some who had started their I-140 in 2000 or 2001)...
